Good Foods, a leader in providing healthy, all-natural products such as guacamoles, dips, salads and dressings announced the promotions of Danyel O’Connor and Juan Larios, both of whom have been named to the company’s executive team.
Danyel OConnor O’Connor, now the executive vice president of sales and marketing, and Larios, now director of Mexico operations, were promoted from within the company after a consistent history of standout performances in their previous roles.
“Both Danyel and Juan bring a wealth of experience and passion to this executive team,” said Kurt Penn, founder and chief executive officer of Good Foods Group, based in in Pleasant Prairie, WI. “In addition to her considerable knowledge in sales and marketing, Danyel is an incredible positive force in the realms of innovation, talent-building and mentorship. Juan, who has more than three decades of specialized experience as a food professional, is uniquely suited for this role due to the depth, breadth and quality of his work in this industry.”
O’Connor, who will report directly to Penn, has an extensive specialty foods background. Prior to her promotion, she worked in tandem with Good Foods for more than nine years, including stepping up as executive vice president during a key transitional period in a consultant capacity. O’Connor’s role as a key member of the executive leadership includes establishing the company’s overall strategic direction and driving profitable growth across Good Foods’ retail and foodservice business channels.

Larios brings to the role an impressive background as an industrial chemist and 30 years of combined experience leading operations teams and serving as a quality assurance technical service manager. He served in his previous role for 20 months before being promoted to director of Mexico operations, for which he will be primarily focused on expanding the company’s guacamole production in Mexico.
“Given our physical presence in Mexico beginning in September of last year, we are making a big move toward becoming international leaders in guacamole production within the next five years,” Larios said. “I look forward to helping Good Foods advance our mission to provide healthy, wholesome food to our community while engaging in environmentally responsible practices.”
