Hy-Vee Inc. has acquired the business of six Shopko pharmacies in Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska. Shopko patient files will remain with each Shopko location until a transition plan is executed. The Shopko pharmacy in these six communities will soon become a Hy-Vee Pharmacy that will operate in the existing Shopko building, despite the news that Shopko is closing these locations.

Our pharmacy teams go above and beyond to provide numerous services to our patients so we can help them understand and assist with caring for their specific health care needs.”

In addition to traditional pharmacy services, Hy-Vee Pharmacy locations feature free prescription delivery, automated refill ordering, immunization services, free blood pressure checks and private medication consultations. Generic prescriptions are also available for as low as $4 for a 30-day supply or $10 for a 90-day supply. Hy-Vee pharmacies are also integrated into the free Hy-Vee mobile app for both iOS and Android devices for easy prescription management.

These six pharmacies are in addition to the 22 Shopko pharmacies’ business that Hy-Vee acquired in December 2018.
