Giorgio Fresh Co. and Country Fresh Mushrooms have entered into a business transaction whereby Giorgio will acquire certain assets and assume certain operations of the Country Fresh business, including the operation of Country Fresh’s packing operations in Arizona and Pennsylvania, as well as Country Fresh’s mushroom distribution and sales operations.

Many of the mushroom growers who comprised the Country Fresh cooperative have entered into agreements to supply mushrooms to Giorgio.  Country Fresh’s sales and customer service teams will become a part of the Giorgio team and the Country Fresh brand will continue in the marketplace.  In addition, CF Logistics LLC will operate as a division of Giorgio Foods Xpress LLC.

Giorgio Fresh, based in Blandon, PA, is a third-generation grower-shipper of a full range of fresh mushrooms, including white, brown, shiitake and oyster.  Country Fresh, based in Toughkenamon, PA, is a cooperative of mushroom growers that was started in 1925.
