Two new additions joined the Ippolito International Sales team recently: Ty Schurman and Kyle Narciso began work at the Salinas, CA, office in late August.
Schurman, a produce professional with nearly 30 years in the industry, was most recently with Ocean Mist in Castroville, CA. With his move to Ippolito International, he brings a broad background in retail sales management. In addition, his commodity management expertise spans a wide range of western vegetables.
"Ty will add even more 'bench strength ' to our existing sales team. With his strengths in customer and commodity management, his talents truly lend themselves to our organization, especially as we continue to grow. I began working with Ty at the start of his career, and am happy to be working with him again," said Dan Canales, vice president of sales, marketing and processing.
Narciso brings a diversified, well-rounded background to Ippolito. Beginning his produce career on the shipping dock at Mann Packing, he worked his way into a role within the sales department. In that position, he managed an array of retail and foodservice customers, and worked as a commodity manager as well.
"Kyle's background in both commodities and value-added will be advantageous to our sales group. We also were impressed by his hands-on approach, to simply getting the job done. His experience working within the value-added segment of the business will also be put to good use here at Ippolito. We are very pleased to have him on board," said Canales.
